Masham Market

Masham market
Masham Town Crier

Masham market received its first charter from Henry III in 1251. Our beautiful Georgian market place is Yorkshire's largest, with market days twice weekly throughout the year as well as speciality markets (see below). As you could see from the aerial view, we have plenty of space for stalls and visitors!

When to visit:

General market: Every Wednesday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday

Farmers Market: First Sunday of every month from April to September.

Market Festivals 2017

  • 1st-2nd July including Farmers Market and Crafted By Hand at the Town Hall
  • 29th-30th July, celebrating  Yorkshire Day weekend with all things Yorkshire
  • 2nd-3rd September, celebrating Masham and Yorkshire food and drink
  • Sat 9th December, Masham's Christmas Market

As well an augmented range of stalls, Festival weekends feature charity stalls, music and entertainment, and special events.

We look forward to your visit!
